and Grundy’s Inclusive Playground Project– One Shirt at a Time

Easton Clark is a five-year-old, Kindergarten student at Grundy Avenue Elementary School in

Sachem. He suffered a SCI at the age of one and has since been fighting to gain control and

function over his own body. Easton has participated in the Locomotor Training program at St.

Mary’s Kids in Bayside, New York for the last four years. The LT program is made up of

intensive, activity-based physical and occupational therapies that have helped drastically

change his quality of life over this time. He is a true warrior and his determination at such a

young age is inspiring to all.

Easton is the inspiration behind Grundy’s “Project Playground.

” This playground will be a play

space designed to be accessible and welcoming to children of all abilities, ensuring that

everyone can participate in play together. A playground like this goes beyond basic accessibility

by incorporating features that cater to various physical, sensory and cognitive needs.

Friendships begin and are fostered on the school playground and every child, despite their

differences, deserves to be given the same opportunity and experience.

Join us in raising awareness for Easton and all of those living with spinal cord injuries. Profits

from every T-shirt sold will go towards Grundy’s Project Playground and St. Mary’s Kids Spinal

Cord Injury Rehabilitation Program.

Sachem Spirit Day will be on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Together, wear your support
